Any idea what a reasonable lap time should be? This should be a great track for the V8s.

I jumped on and did a few practice laps last night. I was in the low 1:12s and I expect there's another second or more to be had for me. I suspect the really fast guys are going to be in the 08s. I've never raced this track in anything other than the MX5, and it's much bumpier than I remember.
Edit: I'm guessing some of my weather settings were wrong. In the practice session so far I've got a best lap of :12.7.

I know this isn't a popular track but I think it has the feel of some of the small Australian tracks. Side note if anyone is interested in watching V8 Supercars they have a package for $40 or $50 that allows you on demand viewing of all the races and qualifying sessions so you can watch whenever you want. The broadcasting team and and overall package that V8 Supercars has is second to none. I thoroughly enjoy watching each race. www.v8supercars.com.au/v8superview Just save that link and sign up when they have next seasons package available.

Great race guys. I managed a few mistakes and was chasing Tony M towards the end of the race. Figured it might be a good battle in the closing laps, but a touch too much throttle on turn 3 sent me into the wall. 4 minutes of optional repairs with 5 minutes to go in the race. Ran the last few laps with my steering wheel to the left at about 10 o clock. Still had a good time though, didn't see anything other than clean racing.

Good stuff. Not much time during the lap to relax, my left hand is hurting from all the right turns.

Finally finished one, albeit several laps down. Just gotta stop making dumb mistakes, had fun though.

First of all congrats to Martin on the win and Daniil and Ricardo for filling the podium.
Great race, especially in the beginning when we were all bunched up. Such a tight track and still able to keep it clean. Had some great battles with Tony M, Jason B, Mario G, and especially Paul D late in the race when we swapped positions on the front straight.
I don't know how I made it through that race with zero incidents. Just shows the level of racing here at GRAsim. Congrats also to Glenn for making it with zero incidents. Not easy on that track. I was wore out by the end of that race.
Looking forward to Road America next week when we will finally have a track where there is a little time to relax each lap.

One thing i would like to ask and I know its controversial. if you are being lapped, please please please find a safe place and move over, this is a league, its not real life and there is nothing on the line, racing guys that are 1 ,2 or 3 laps ahead of you is silly and could lead to a race ending incident for both of you.
I know the purists say its the faster guys responsibility to make the pass, but a little co-operation will go a long way to making the event more enjoyable for all

Nice turnout again, 22 drivers! I used a bye this week, so see you all next week at Road America.

Holy I had a lot of incidents.
Thankfully they were all single car incidents.
Next time I'll try to be better rested.
