Wow - thanks everyone - I think that was a success last night! My impression is that we had some great racing from the very front to the back. It looked as though everyone was respectful in spite of those close-quarters racing and nature of the track. We also had only one DNF and several drivers with very low incident scores - well done guys!
Congrats to Paul on the win, and practically leading the race flag-to-flag, and sorry for that spin heading into T6 (more on that below).
I was making setup changes all the way through qualifying as I was still struggling with the gearing and corner entry. Nevertheless, I still managed to put the car in the 12th with a PB lap upto that point. The start looked very clean and everyone looked to be driving pretty cautious. I got into a great three way battle with James and Tim for 11th that lasted a few laps until Tim had a small, but critical spin that damaged his car. From then on, it was me chasing down James right through the first round of pit stops with usually no more than 4-5 seconds separating us. We ran this way for a while until heading into T6, I accidentally selected 1st gear and got completely turned around as P1 and P2 were coming. All in all, the error cost me some 10 seconds - which I made worse later with some poor decision making with pitwork and being lapped.
Regardless, I had a blast, and I can see this season is going to be one heck of a series given the talent we've got here.

I knew getting pole would be important here. In practice the times I was running behind someone I couldn't get myself to run very consistently.I was really happy with pole, setting a new PB as well with that.
Great race from everyone I saw. Chris really kept me on my toes the whole race. Everyone was clean and courteous on track. Looking forward to the next one!

Well, pretty much got all I could out of the race last night. I didn't have much practice, but I had a stable car that I knew I could run clean with. Plus, I've never been good at Sonoma anyways... LOL.
Didn't Q as I needed to spend some bedtime time with my kiddo... was just as happy to start at the rear.
Race was clean. I moved forward as a few people had spins during the early laps in front of me. Got lapped by the leaders just before mid-race, which was not unexpected. Happy to just give room and let the fast guys by. Only had one misunderstanding which resulted in a light tap on the rear of the car... I'm not much of a talker mid-race, so I was trying to place the car to make passes easy.
I thought I would have a chance to compete with Eduardo as we moved through the mid-race period. Yes, Eduardo, I was chanting "ANIMAL" to myself as I edged closer to you toward the end of the first fuel run... LOL! But, a slow pit stop and out lap doomed any chances to real Eduardo in during the second half of the race. Ended up exactly where my lap times said I should've... a P13. Happy to have garnered only one IP, and that was due to a poor entry into the esses when trying to get a lead lap car through. I'll take that, although James is gonna be hard to catch (again!!) on the Gentleman Driver cup!
Thanks all for a great evening! Rob

LoL - Rob I could hear you "growling" at me as I knew you were less than 10 behind me and closing I already sensed another last-lap pass on me in the works! In error, I shaved 5 minutes off of the start time (was 9:15 yesterday and is advertised as 9:20 everywhere). I'll correct that in the next race by adding 5 extra minutes of practice time - hopefully that makes it easier for you to join us (as well as the other parents among us - heck I joined the server only 15 minutes before qualifying!)

Nice racing guys, was fun, Congrats Paul the 8or80 team had a great car and good pit stop strategy, but we did some mistakes. i spun out twice after my 1st pit stop, was pushing to much, and Mario forgot to reajust his fuel after his pit stop, but we had fun,and that is the main goal
