The second split was a disaster tonight. I don't know what some people were thinking (and some of those are in this forum). You need to pay attention to what's going on around you. I'm not going to apologize for anyone getting turned after ignoring what's going on around you.

Meh... That's about as bad a race as I've ever had. Locking up, pushing wide, off track (not just a little).
I'm moving on to Suzuka. At least it has turns without washboards...

I'm not going to apologize for anyone getting turned after ignoring what's going on around you. Jim, Don't act as if your shit don't stink. If anybody embodies a lack of attention and over aggression, it's you. Now I will say that our incident could be ruled either way. Both of us could have done something different to have avoided the incident. But the bottom line is that from my perspective you didn't have a claim to the corner. When I started my turn in you were not along side of me and by ruling you didn't have a right to the corner, yet you proceeded anyways despite having room and an opportunity to fall back in line. Now you claimed that I blocked you. That's not true. I moved for a defensive line but you, for whatever reason, opted to continue to attempt to pass me on the inside--even catching a little grass in the process. When I realized your aggressive posture I moved back to the racing line to give you room on the inside. Now I did cut the inside line too close and that's my fault. However, you didn't maintain a tight line on the side corner and you drifted high. So like I said we both made mistakes and I'm man enough to admit that. What I take umbrage with is that you feel as if you have done no wrong at all during the entire race. Within the first 4 laps you demonstrated a complete lack of race craft and consideration for you fellow iRacer. You dive bombed Allen--wrecking him in the process--and then you again attempted a second inside line pass against Ryan and his gaggle when you had absolutely no business pushing in as you did. You might want to take a look at the whole picture before you start pointing fingers and accusing other drivers of not paying attention to their surroundings. Do remember that you're not the only one on track and that the other drivers may be a employing strategy against you. You can't just bulldoze your way through everybody and then claim they weren't paying attention to their surroundings.

I agree with Tony with these incidents, I didn't race this race but you were well and truly to far back o Tony to try and make a move on Tony at that corner Jim. If iracing was going by the real race rules we use here in Australian V8 Supercars or any category in Australian motorsport you have to be past the B pillar of the car ahead and if the car ahead is turning in ad you can stop you must leave room for the car to turn in. As for the second incident after you hit tony in the second video you tried to make a move that would be incredibly hard to pull the pass on him and you were way to late to try the lunge because you hit him as he was turning in. The last time I looked at the iracing rule book you must leave racing room for your fellow competitors, and by the replays you were too aggressive coming into both corners so you aren't innocent and its a situation of the other drivers need situational awareness but they did nothing wrong in the replay, I think you need some situational awareness to by the looks of the replay, I don't know what else happened but these replays give some information of what was going on

Well, I guess I made up for the horrible 2nd half of the GRA race this week. In the 2nd split Tony and I finally got to race each other. I finished 2nd with Tony and Tim taking 3rd and 4th. Tony kept me honest for the first 12 laps or so, almost always within a second or so, and a good chunk of time right on my bumper. I think this was probably my most consistent race also. Managed a 2 inc race with a 2:06.0 average lap time and 2:05.1 fast lap (:04.9 is my PB). Thanks for the great racing Tony and Tim. Here's a couple shots from the race. Hey Tony, were you running a different livery tonight, or did my TP not update?

Great racing, Jason! I think for tomorrow I'm going to have to see about mitigating those mistakes I made in the second half of the race. I don't know why but TradingPaints is being really weird as of late and not loading some paints. I think we properly represented the league tonight!

Quick note on the race setup i ran my sway bars at 5/5 after 7 laps i went to 4/5 (front rear) after 14 laps i went to 3/5
i did my fast lap of the race on lap 9 a 203.645 i did my second fastest lap on lap 15 a 203.940
the advise on reducing the front sway bar during the race is very accurate and will re balance the car

I debated on not racing tonight and at the last minute decided to give it a go. Should have just watched some TV. Made a mistake on lap 3 that allowed Tim to get around me just before the chicane. Didn't realize the guy behind him was going for the spot also. Went to turn in and there he was. He actually got the worse end of it in the chicane, but I lost concentration and put it into the pit wall in the last corner.
I've watched the replay several times and all I can say is that it is bordering a dive bomb. When I started my turn in, I was still clear of him. Having said that, if I'd have seen he was going for it, I would have given room and let him by. Personally I felt it was a racing incident. Until he complained at me about it after the race.
Anyway, here's the Americas broadcast for tonight.
