Well, that was interesting. LOL!
I didn't practice at all, but still wanted to race to support the league. Just put on my Zolder set with tire pressures reversed to reflect the anti-clockwise nature of the circuit. Then, LOL, I didn't qualify because we were getting my son to bed. Came into the race room right at the end of qual.
I then found that I had to abandon the race start because my wheel was miscalibrated. ESCed, and took a tow to the pits. Recalibrated (now fine), but ended up a lap down to the field before I could get going. From there, it was just a matter of re-learning the track and trying to keep out of everyone's way. Ended up driving reasonably well with only a couple silly little half spins. Moved up to P5 as a result of attrition. I probably could've been about a second faster than my race PB if I could've gotten through T5 in 4th instead of having to brake down to 3rd. But, didn't matter anyway... LOL!
I'll make sure to get some practice in for the finale. Should be a good one, and see you all then! Rob

Thanks for the patience everyone while I posted the results. I hope you are all having a great holiday weekend too!
I spoiled my race with two significant accidents at the same corner (turn 5).
I was the tail end of a 4-car battle for 3rd place including Ray, Stephen, Chris and me. However, around 1/3 way through the race, my setup was trending towards understeer and exiting turn 5, I ran off into the dirt then spun the car into the tires. I got a tow to the pits then reentered the race a lap down. Once again after a few laps, same mistake at the same corner. Ugh ... Oh well - I'm looking forward to the final round at Road Atlanta in 2 weeks.

Haven't driven here for quite some time, and I think it was my first race with the RUF. I didn't had time to test, so I joined the practice session before the race and used my setup from our last race at Philip Island. I was really surprised how it worked so well in this track. Started from pole and tried to push a bit in the first 10 laps, opened a gap to Mario and then tried to keep me on track and avoid mistakes. All went well until the end and clinched my 1st win here at GRAsim. Too bad for the low attendance. Hopefully we'll have more cars on track at Road Atlanta. See you there!
