Well that was quite the race. I thought my practice pace was OK. But then everyone brought out the big guns for qualifying.
So there I was chasing the three digit racers when near the last quarter of the race things went pear shaped for everyone in front of me. Lots of yellows. People in the pits. Etc. Hell I swore I saw Tony spin and hit the wall in the back straight. And then tow in. But he still finished in front of me.
I gotta say. Going from 9th to 4th in the last quarter of the race and having to work for most of those spots made the race quite fun. But I didn't think I was going to come away with a decent position.

It really was an exciting race, lots of action. Good close clean racing. I passed and was passed several times with no contact at all from other drivers. My only incidents were from me going off track or spinning.
Great racing by Kyle, Val, and Marc. We had some good battles and kept it clean.

I was applying the pressure before the pit, then I botched my pit stop by overdriving it by a few feet and had to reverse back to the stall. That's why you had a good ten second lead after the pits, and I just could not get closer than ~4 seconds, even with you all racing eachother pretty tight.

That was a clean and well raced race last night. I had a lot of fun and the boys from Band of Others (Marc and Kyle) and I raced rather close to one another for the first half of the race. However, after the pitstop it got a little lonely. I was pushing hard to catch Ryan Casteline and while I was picking up time on him, the major break came when he spun out late in the race at T2. Early in the race when I made a move to pass Kyle. I'm sorry if I scared you, Kyle. Right at the end of the braking zone my rear started to get loose on me.

No big Mino. I thought it was pretty clean and I swung wide to accomodate. I knew you were faster and was just biding time. I wasn't going to let you by easily, I wanted you to earn it. I haven't had the practice time the past few weeks and it certainly shows. Couple that with the fact that I have really good starts means I get in front of drivers I shouldn't be in front of. Good race!
