Planning to run the race in 90 minutes, but don't expect fireworks from me...I've never driven an Indycar in a race before. Stop in and say hi if you like!

Stayed in the back, let attrition take its course, and just kept it off the wall.
0 incidents, 8th place, 2 laps down in my first Indycar race!!

You'll be fine. Cardinal rule: don't hit anything.

Stayed in the back, let attrition take its course, and just kept it off the wall. 0 incidents, 8th place, 2 laps down in my first Indycar race!! Very nice finish George especially for you very first IndyCar race. I had a much better race Saturday night than the mess I made Friday. Less people signed up on Saturday so I ended up in the 2nd split starting 24th on the grid. I was very conservative for the first 150 laps. I pitted almost on every yellow to keep the tires fresh and we also had a couple of good green flag runs. With attrition and having a more stable race setup than most of the others in the race, I kept working my way through the pack. I even led a couple of laps near the end because I was the last one to pit for fuel and tires on our last green flag stop. After the final pit stops for fuel I came out in 8th place. With fresh tires and just over a half tank of fuel, my car was flying. I worked my way up to 4th with some good passes and was closing in on 3rd. I don't think I could have caught 1st and 2nd as they were too far ahead. Then a caution came out on lap 193. I only had 11 green flag laps on my tires so I didn't pit, but most others didn't pit either. When the green flag came out we had 4 laps to go and I'm sure I could have got by 3rd and probably challenged for the lead, but never got the chance. We had another caution before we got to T2 and finished under yellow. I will take it though. It was a good race. Started 24th, finished 4th with zero incidents and never touched a wall or other car. I didn't have the fastest setup in the race, but mine was definitely one of the most stable for a full fuel run. I had plenty of cars run away from me on fresh tires only to have me catch up and pass them after 15-20 laps when their tires wore out. I did a lot of testing on my race setup to get it stable for the long runs and it paid off.
