Picked it up this morning, hopefully i figure out how to fabricate my pedal mounts this week and have it up and running next weekend. This thing is SOLID.
makes my Obutto Ozone seem like a Lego set.

Looks cool Tony. Is it the D-BOX model? I have a motion rig built by VRX in Sidney B.C. The rig is a total blast, especially for rally racing like Dirt3. Check it out at vrx.ca and look at the iMotion series. Cheers.

Yeah, it was either the sim rig or a new sporty car, but since the traffic laws in BC changed that allow cops to seize a car for going 40km/h over the limit, I figured I would get into far less trouble this way. Money well spent.

well its do or die this weekend, spent the last 3 hours taking apart my rig and packing it up for the new owner, cleaned my room ( dont tell my wife, i used a vacum AND i cleaned and disinfected the racegrid flooring)
brought the seat portion of the rig up and mounted the ultrashield racing seat ( yes i know its overkill, its a halo seat, how the hell does anyone ever see anyone to the right of them using one of these?)
the biggest challenge is mounting the pedals, i have cst hanging pedals and the obutto mounts, tomorrow we try to fab a floor mounts, the csts are 19 1/4 inches wide, i have 18 1/2 inches to work with, i think i understand what i need to do to narrow them up without screwing up the pedals ( god i hope, or its a set of hpp's i will have to order)
I have a friend who is a welder by trade and fabs things all the time, hes a car guy so hopefully we can come up with a design thats going to do the trick
if you see me on track at sunday practice you know we have had success, if not, I'll be crying in a corner somewhere

Make sure to get some pictures when you are done. Sounds like a very interesting setup.

Crap why does it take 5 times longer to put something together then take it apart? guy who had this rig before me wasn't exactly precise on his measurements nor was he fussy if 4 bolts and nuts were required or if 3 would do. We built a pedal tray this morning (3 hours) just waiting on the paint to dry now. front and rear sections assembled, seat mounted and correct distance from steering wheel, steering wheel angle adjusted (holes were off by 1/4 inch and as a result the wheel was skewed way to the left) have to rig a mount for the dsd sequential shifter now. Then mount the monitors wire everything up do cable management install pedals ( i hope tonight) test drive

Looks great! I love the idea of getting a proper setup for when I have a bit of spare money. But I don't really have the space for it in my place, so I might just get a nicer wheel and pedal set and be done with it for now
