Really enjoyable race. Great racing with Eduardo, James, Ray and Jim. Jim, sorry if I caused you to spin at the bus stop. I knew you were there somewhere but it wasn't until the exact moment that I turned in that my spotter said you were to my left.

Not to take anything away from the podium, but Rob "the Animal" Thaeler has to be the "man of the race" having gone from 17th to 5th!
At least for me, this race seemed require equal parts speed, pit strategy, and staying out of trouble. As for me, I lacked both speed and the ability to stay out of trouble, and I only managed to avoid finishing last due to some good pit-work. I had a great race for much of the evening with James, Ray, Jim and Peter. Peter and James were really pushing hard on me during the start of the race until they both got caught in spin at the Bus Stop. I managed to get into the top 10 until I ran into my own problems - 2 penalties for cutting the corner at the Bus Stop and later a spin at T1 that probably cost me around 10 seconds or so. I ended doing a splash with 20 minutes to go and just managed to hold off a hard charging Peter who closed to within 5 seconds of me - great job Peter.
I'm looking forward to a break next week before we head to round #3 - in the meantime we'll be working on some admin stuff (spotter's guide and maybe a GRA-USC t-shirt). We ma y also have a fun run planned for next week ... stay tuned.

Another fun race in this car and series. I was surprised with pole, as Chris, Glenn, and Greg had recorded faster lap times previously.
Chris got by me before lap 1 was over, and I was able to stay close behind him with the draft. We managed to build up a bit of a gap to the cars behind before the first pit stops. Chris pitted earlier than I thought and I wasn't prepared to dive in with him. Big mistake on my part. I left the pits on cold tires and Chris easily got by and I lost the draft before the tires could get up to temperature. Once I lost the draft I couldn't keep up with his quick pace. I pushed pretty hard the whole rest of the race but I just couldn't reel him in at all.

Lets say that the draft had some influence on those lap times Paul . I don't know, felt good to get 3rd, but disappointed at some of the driving out there. It might just be the track because of the draft so we will see how the next race goes. I thought I could gain some ground after I got back to 3rd but Chris and Paul were just a bit quicker and I couldn't gain any time. Tried to double stint the tires on the first stop thinking that I would gain time because I wouldn't have the cold outlap, but the tires didn't hold up at the end.

i had pulled a 1.39 lap time earlier in the week w/o draft but couldn't seem to do it when it counted, nice pole Paul. I had two of the 4 laps with off track so you deserved it. Great race , this group of drivers seems to know there limits, when to be aggressive, and how to respond when faster cars are approaching, great communication throughout. Most leagues the leader has to speak up when needing to pass but for here everyone's communication is proper. Chris Payne, William Harris and I always talk about how enjoyable it is to race with this group there is a sense of seriousness rather than lets just have fun and oh well whatever happens happens. Talking when needed apologies when needed and thanks when needed so I give this out of the 5 different leagues I've run in various sims a TOP of the charts league!!! Happy to run w yall! Would like to see more entries but good for now.

No, you were fine, Pete. It was an ambitious pass ... one of my many, many mistakes throughout the whole race. I was hoping for a top 10, but I just couldn't put it together.

Congratulation to Chris, Paul and Greg, awesome job you did guys ! Coming to this race, I wasn't sure what to expect with the cold temperature but, what a FUN race night. Claude and I couldn't ask for a better car and it shows right from the beginning of the race and was still strong for the entire 1.8 hours race. The satisfaction of clean racing and battles with William, Glenn, Rob, Claude and other was just awesome !!! I followed Williams until our first pit stop but on our second pit stop I decided to pit a lap later, big mistake of my part but I managed to get back behind you William for another portion of the race I also had a few adventures, i kissed the wall once in the bus stop, when I was following William and Glenn, which forced me to stop again for a reset. I also lost control exiting the pit lane on my last pit stop but the damage wasn't too bad so I tried very hard to gain back the 5th place of Rob by doing better lap times. I managed to get behind you with just over a second on the last lap but it was too late. Thanks to everyone for the fun racing and my teammate Claude for his dedicated work !

I Claude, are you sure that was Tony? I clobbered you in turn 6. I knew someone had spun and I slowed down to go inside just as you started to pull forward, then I tried to go outside about the same time you saw me trying to go inside and you stopped. I think we were just destined to collide! I really should have just gone wide, but I was a bit frustrated and trying not to loose anymore time after getting a giant slow down for barley cutting the chicane a couple laps earlier.

Hi Chris- thanks for the kind words. I think we're off to a pretty great start ... hopefully we'll continue to add a one or two drivers each race such that we're in the 20's by the end of the season. We still have a few ideas in development that I think you guys will appreciate once we're ready to showcase them.
