Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
I was on grid for a few seconds and wanted to check my setup. Then I saw "TOWING" "OK Fine" I thought, I'm slow, starting from the PITS wont be so bad. Then I had to wait the 50 second towing penalty. Ok fine. And then I noticed everyone on the delta board was red. OH I GUESS iRACING DECIDED TO PUT ME A LAP DOWN TOO.
I did the entire hour for next to last place. Whoooo boy.
That was one boring, disappointing, and frustrating race. Guess that's what happens when you rush home for it.

That was a fun race. Had a good battle with Troy and Jason. Really unfortunate about the call Jason.
Troy I found that pace from following you for the first stint lol. Good race!

I can't sugar coat it...I hate this track. I have always hated this track. Even when I was running the nimble GT3 cars I could never find that flow going through the S Curves and through Dunlop Curve. I'm sure this track is excellent for open wheel cars but in GT/Touring cars it is the bane of my existence. I think I'll end up running Thursday and just calling it a week after that.
I have a big apology to make to Mario. On lap 7 going up into Spoon Curve I caught some grass and it sent me flying around the track and I ended up collecting him in the process. Sorry about that! Up to that point though myself, Mario, and Tim had a good thing going.

Meh... it happens, just wish it'd been last week when I was running terrible anyway. When I originally came out of the pit I thought it'd be some good racing between the 3 of us. During the first stint we seemed to be running similar pace. Tony- That explains why I caught you at the end of the race. I knew I wasn't that fast.. This track is enjoyable for me, but far from my favorite. Of course after last week I'd be happy with almost any smooth track.

Last night was pretty fun, for some reason i've always liked this track even though the S curves give me grief. Had a good battle with Issac most of the race but in encored a pit penalty so i lost a couple of positions. Hopefully Thursday night i can run my pace i was a little off last night.

It is unfortunate what happened to you, I could race like that the entire race That first quarter of the race, or almost, was just pure fun following Tim and you, and being chased by Isaac After the incident, I did a lap or two just to make sure I didn't have to make two pit stops. I got my fast repair and tried to catch up. With maybe 10 minutes before the end of the race, I was glad to see that I was ahead of Tim when he came out of the pit lane. I wasn't sure that I could keep my position because of my early pit stop but I did and finished just behind my teammate. I really enjoyed the hard work

First part of the race, I ran decent for me. Car felt good, and I was keeping up a good number of people.....then I pitted. For reasons that are mysterious the car just went to hell in a hand basket after the pit stop. It felt like I was just skating across the track in ever corner in that run. I expected it when I first came out of the pits, but it didn't really go away like normal. Don't know if I was over driving the car, or just had a bad set of Dunlops. Regardless, As I was coming through the last chicane on the last lap, I saw Glenn behind me, got on the gas harder then I should've, broke traction, and ended up parking the car *on* the tires at the end of the pit wall :/

Of course after last week I'd be happy with almost any smooth track. You are a lot faster than me this week. My best lap time in practice was a mid 2:06 and you and Tim were running in the 2:05s (and I hear that you both are flirting with 2:04s), so I knew you were going to catch me eventually but it was a matter of if I could fight you off for those last 6 minutes. Also, I don't know why but even with my fixed car it still felt as if it was understeering going into left hand turns. I imagine it was all in my head but it sure had an effect on my driving throughout the rest of the race. Mario, I'm glad you still finished strong. I hate crashing but I especially hate collecting other people up in my mistakes.

I hate crashing but I especially hate collecting other people up in my mistakes. This might not be in your head Tony. The car handling changes through the race because the fuel is being burned off. Especially in this series where most of us start with a full tank and end with the car almost empty. There are some in car adjustments you can make while driving. You can adjust the brake bias, and both ARBs. For what you described, I imagine 1 or 2 clicks down on the front ARB would have helped the understeering problem.

Or 1 or 2 up on the rear But ya, either one would have helped you out. I don't usually mess with roll bars but I do adjust the brake bias.

There sure is something to be said about this league and getting a good hour long race in before the official races. During practice on Monday and Tuesday I was lucky if I could hit a 2:06. This afternoon I found myself running consistently in the mid 2:05s. I wish I had that pace on Tuesday! Now I just need to keep up that pace during tonight's race and I should be in for a good race.
