I hope i can finish better then i did last yr in my only race in this car. 3rd in class at Sebring. This race is that all cars will be scored in one class. They call it a Predator format

Well put down a 1.41.2 for my first qualifying attempt. That time has me in 8th out of 20 Vettes and the top 10 run in the Pro split. Need to find a few more tenths to make sure i dont get bumped

Going into last night, i was sitting on the bubble for the top split. After entering the practice I realized that 2 people had already beat my time. After fighting with setup (took all the wing out) and traffic, pulled a 1.40.121, which got me in the top split for tomorrow.

In 2 hrs the first round of the Pacific Majors will start. The Predator format is going to be interesting. I think Jason Lundy also made Top spilt, so ill have to race him also. I posted the youtube link a few post above so check out the race and wish me luck. Time to qualify.

Well if u didn't get a change to watch the broadcast, here is my run down from last night. I qualified 8th. After qualifying, I decided to put some wing back in the car to make a little more stable in the infield. With the Predator format, came out of the pits in 39th. Well after the first couple of laps I soon realized that prob wasn't the greatest idea bc I was far off pace, by almost 2 sec.
I had a few run-ins with GT cars and a few off tracks bc of self spins. On my 2nd pit stop I pitted 4 laps early to help with gaining positions since I knew the GT and other Vettes were going to have to pit also. With about a hr to go, I started gaining positions from 36th (DNF cars bumped me up)all the way up to 20th. A self spin on the last lap had me chasing down the 20th place and just before the bus stop, I ran out of fuel and coasted to the line (the broadcast had a great time with me running out)finishing 22nd.
I had a great time with the format and Feb 22nd is the Daytona 500 so I'll be looking for a crew chief lol. Ill upload my POV of the race in a couple of days and make sure to watch some of the broadcast.

The format was very interesting having the DP's released from the pits, on cold tires, in the middle of the GT field. Was fun to watch.
