Thanks for the set Tony. Today was the first time I've set eyes on this track, much less raced it. It's definitely challenging, but still fun. Managed to get into the low :40s. maybe that will improve. I suspect the key to this track for me is going to be caution rather than speed.

I know this'll be my drop week for sure. I've never run here so I guess I have a whole lot of learning to do in a little amount of time.

Well after six laps I managed a best of 1:42.5. This track is going to kick my butt this week. I have a feeling to be competitive in the mid-pack then I might have to get that down to a 1:40. However, as I sit here thinking about the official races my skin is starting to crawl. Hard to pass tracks to pass, like this track, always manage to bring out the worst in iRacers.

Tony Mino, I don't thin you'll need to pass anyone in the official series. Just let the tires, and other lurking evils, take them out for you one by one. I think you are correct that 1:40 to 1:41 will be good mid pack speed. I see 1:36 and 1:37's but I don't think must of us can maintain that for any length of time. Myself, I am running high 1:39's now and it took me a while to get there.
I take back anything bad I ever said about this track. I love it (for now). It has a lot of character and there is speed hiding in very interesting places here. It's just going to take some time to find it.

I've never raced here and my pace (so far) is not where I want it to be, so I'll be taking it easy (especially on Tuesday night) and let others wreck each other of fly off track. I'm more than happy to pick up free positions that way.
