I ran about 30 laps today. Solidly in the 2:12s (assuming I got the correct weather this time). Guessing the fast guys should see :10s.
That'll be around 27/28 laps. Ispeed is telling me 1.28gal per lap, so 36.5 gallons should go the distance.

I can't seem to break 209.5, my optimum is 208.5 but can't put a lap together

Ran another bunch of laps today. Having trouble finding the rhythm again. The other day in practice I set a PB at :11.1 with the preceding 5 or 6 laps within .5 of that. Today I'm barely getting into the 11s, and following those with high 12s or low 13s. Meh, I guess we'll see if I can find the zone in tonight's race.

Sorry to Claude for my 1st corner fustercluck, got on the brake a little too hard and it sent me straight right. Think I might try starting these things from the pit lane until I can dislodge my head from my hynie!

Nice race guys, little rough at the start, but from what I heard it was pretty quite for the rest of the race. Marty you kept me watching the relative box more then the track for most of the race. Good inner team battle with Farooq and Glen. I finally found a good rhythm after the pit stop and was able keep my lead on Glen after his pit stop and was also able to close the gap to Farooq. We ran nose to tail for a while but with about 3 laps left I slipped a little and lost time. After I realized there was no catching Farooq and Marty had to pit again, I knew NQR had the top 3 spots so I backed off to bring it home. Doh, just noticed the website is wrong back to the paint booth.

The learning curve of setting these cars up is steep. Decided to try adding some cross-weight to help in right turns w/o the time to test setup longevity. Picked up terrible understeer after several laps and eventually understeered off the road into the wall. Lesson learned.

The first half of the race was a lot of fun. I was catching and or just behind Troy until our pit stop where I found out our pit strategies were a bit different so I came out of the pit with a nice gap but as everyone knows it is so easy to loose time by a small mistake with this car that it was still a lot of work to keep up. Several laps later I found my self battleling with Tony for fifth position which I didn't expected but was glad to be doing it. On the last lap, Marty came out of the pit and I said to my self What a nice last lap finish this will do ; ) for a 4,5 and 6 position battle. Yeah I know, I didn't have any chance but it was so fun to finish the race like that. I did missed my brake mark and almost took my wheel off my rig but managed to bring the car back on the track , realigned my steering wheel just enough to keep going but I lost my position to Tony and finished the race behind him in 6th position. Great job guys ! That was again a lot of fun. I feel sorry for the one less fortunate early on the race.

The lap 1 shenanigans were strong in this race.

Congrats to Farooq for the win and to Greg and Glenn for filling the podium.
I had another clean consistent race. It was a little hairy at the start, but I managed to stay just in front of the mess.
Had Mario right on my ass all the way to the pit stop. He must have taken a lot less fuel, because after the pit stop, he was way ahead. My only chance would have been if he made a mistake, which he only made some minor ones. Great driving Mario. You really found your pace during the race where it counted.

Troy, it has to be recognized that in 3 events you have had only 3 incidents, a shining example to us all that you can be quick and safe at the same time.

Thanks Tony, that's not the first time I've posted it in the wrong place. I look at the "recent posts" and put it in the latest Road America post. I'll take more notice where it is going next time.
