Here is my POV from Tuesday night's race. We had a good tight race there in the middle of the field, which is what I've been wanting for a long time now. Sorry if the video stutters but Zolder isn't too kind on the frames unfortunately.

I like when you told everyone when I pitted . I will say that my strategy got me up to where I finished. I was gaining on a few guys the lap before I pitted, but I didn't want to waste time trying to pass them so I pitted and took tires. When I came out I was all by myself for 4 or 5 laps and I could put in some nice laps. I haven't raced in a few months and I don't really get along with the is track so that combo didn't really work in my favor. Good to see some nice racing though.

I had a low grade migraine yesterday which caused me to get to the session late. I kept asking myself "am I feeling good enough to deal with the V8SC and a race?" and, as it turned out, I was. This race was by far my worst overall performance to-date in the league, but I'm not going to take it too hard since I wasn't feeling too well and I had over that 10 mins of qualify to get used to the weather before we jumped into the race.

great video, thoroughly enjoyed watching I don't know how you talk and drive though, I have trouble just for 5 seconds Thank you good sir. Normally, especially when I'm really focused, I'm rather quiet. However, last night since I was racing solo and recording solo I was just voicing the thoughts I was already having in my head.

This is just the first 10 mins or so of our race at Phillip Island. Because of the low frame rates I've been getting I opted to record replays, so I took the time to voice my opinions on a few topics.

I run triple screens on a single 780ti and I haven't noticed a issue, not saying the frames are dropping but if they are I can't tell. I have the fps capped at 85, I don't have every options turned on but if you want I can post my graphics settings. But with that said at COTA a few days ago I did notice a spot coming down the hill after the first turn where it stuttered for a little bit but it picked right up. I haven't run at COTA in a long time so it may have always done that.
Also not a fan of the new weather, not sure what point they are trying to make. You can call the weather "overcast" but if there isn't a cloud in the sky, sorry that isn't overcast and vise versa. I also agree with the forecast idea.
I hear ya with getting in a "funk" I am kind of in one as well. I don't get a lot time like I used to practice and prepare for a race. But our last race at COTA I put in the time, did well in practice and qualifying but come race time I screw it up. I won't go into details but I messed up and for the rest of the race I put myself in a position I never should have been in which resulted in a poor finish for the effort and the speed that I was showing up to the race. Since we only have 1 shot at a race it kind of stinks to be quick and end up with a sub par performance. Not complaining about our format here but if it was and official series race you could just wait for the next one and try again. I guess I am just loosing the enjoyment of iRacing. I am playing pCars off and on for a quick pick up race and iRacing could learn a thing or two from that game. Its not the most polished game as far as physics go but graphically and the quality of the sounds it leaves iRacing in the dust. Some times I could care less about setting up a car to find the optimal setup and all I want to do is get in a car, crank up the sound, and blast down the road. I think when iRacing adds DX11 support, day/night transitions, an Le Mans that will probably make me put up pCars for a while.
I too have gotten away from official series races because it's a crap shoot on what quality racing you going to get. I have had some really good races and some absolute abhorrent races. I figured with the limited time I have, and the odds that a league race will more likely be an enjoyable race, I chose to stop official races all together. When I used to run the V8 Americas it was kind of a league anyway because it was almost always the same guys each week and you knew what to expect. I do love the V8 but its beginning to get stale for me. Almost wish we had a GT1 league, something smaller like a kia or Mustang.
Kinda like your new "post" race format

I have a 780 with an i7 3770k and like I was saying in the video I used to run everything on max settings. I can began turning things down when I wanted to stream and then more so when I wanted to record live. This season has been horrendous on my frame rate. Where I used to get 200+ I'm now getting 120-140 and with a full field of cars on track I'm finding myself sub 100s with the occasional dips into the 50s and 60s on certain tracks. The front stretch at Zolder was particularly painful this season.
