Getting ready for the next season. A few changes coming that hopefully will be welcomed.
A shift in starting time to 830 pm EST, this should make it a bit easier for our mid west and west coast members to participate.
We will follow the iracing schedule exactly. this means we will have races of varying lengths, some fuel restricted races and a couple of longer races. we will still have a short practice and a 20 minute qualifier before the race.
We will have an open practice every Sunday from 2pm to 6pm EST
We will maintain the 1 fast repair rule
We need and are asking someone to step up and become the race reporter. Very simple really, do a short 50 to 150 word recap of the race and qualifying so that we can keep it interesting
We have a TITLE SPONSOR, with a nifty prize that everyone will like. This prize is not going to the league champion, it will be going to someone based on participation. You must compete in 8 of 12 events, finish 50% of the laps in those events and it must be a minimum of 3 events in the first half of the season and 3 events in the last half of the season, this way we should keep participation high. As i will be running that part of the league I will exclude myself from winning. The sponsor will be announced shortly.

Thanks for the 5:30 start time Tony, much appreciated, will definitely make it easier to race. Great work finding a title sponsor, can't wait to find out who it is.

I can write up the little blurbs if you'd like. I can also take care of updating the main page if that is needed too.

The official V8 series is going to use 'some fuel restricted races' (which seems to imply a less than 100% fuel load permitted)? Or by this do you just mean that some races will require a stop because of the fuel used during the course of the race?

no iracing will be limiting fuel load in some races, forcing a pit stop

Does this mean the races will be the same number of laps as the official series and not always 1 hour long anymore? Just want to make sure and clarify.
