Definitely looking at GT1 like everyone else probably is this upcoming season. A definite put off for me is next season's V8SC official schedule. It is terrible. The fact that is easier to list which tracks are new instead of which are repeats is sad. Last I counted, there are 4 new tracks, 8 repeats. So unless GRAsim were to break from following the official series every race (maybe have it sync up every few races) I have no interest in racing the same tracks again for the most part.

I would tend to agree regarding the Season 3 schedule, seems like the same season repeating with a couple different tracks thrown in. I think there are too many longer tracks, which goes against the real V8 series, most of the tracks used in Australia are around 2 miles or less, except Bathurst and Philip Island. I've selected 10 tracks I think are better suited for the V8s than the official schedule IMO: Barber, Zandvoort, COTA west, Lime Rock, Mid-Ohio, New Hampshire Road course, Okayama, Summit Point, Motegi East, and Phoenix 2008 Road course. Any thoughts?

our experience in the past is that running different tracks then on the schedule decreases participation. a lot of guys run the series to prepare for the americas races on thursday and friday. the v8 series next season is quite varied as it features sprint races, limited fuel in some races and some pit stop longer races. I was hoping to mirror our series with the official series. I have a title sponsor lined up with a nice prize to be given a participatant of the series ( minimum requirements needed)
however if the majority want something different. step up and organize the thing, it may be selfish but i only have interest in the v8 and for now will rarely race anything else

No offense intended Tony... just speaking my opinion. I totally understand the reason for running in conjunction with the official series. I have no problem with the series itself, just the track choices. It actually sounds like the racing itself will be even more interesting. Just really bummed at the tracks picked, which is really not anyone's fault in particular. I believe it is always voted upon in the V8 subforum on iRacing's forums, so the same dozen or so people seem to be voting.

and non taken, the tracks were decided on by a vote on the v8 forum, everyone got a chance to vote, more aussies vote than anyone else so for sure those tracks are in. i ran the L79 for a year and they rotate all tracks but there is always a repeat of 8 tracks from one season to another and 4 switch, the system they have works well, i hope we can maybe get that one day
