This is from the Corvette forum posted by Tony Gardner: "Going to be looking for community-based Track Schedules early for next season if the community is so inclined. Please get to me by Monday May 4. Please include race distance as well. Please do not send me your own personal schedules, only interested in schedules in which there was community feedback. Send to Tony.Gardner@iRacing.com The hope is we will add the Aston Martin GT1 Car to this series to race in same class as Corvette for season 3. Thanks!" You can see the thread here: members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3308949.page#8880224There is also a thread in the General Discussion forum here: members.iracing.com/jforum/posts/list/3308990.pageI have been wanting to race the Corvette, but there are very few races. I'm sure with the addition of the Aston Martin, the series will see a huge increase in participation. I can't wait. Here is iRacings latest picture of the car. It is still in production.

Very nice I thought they were also going to release the GT3 version of this too? I wonder if the spread between GT1 and GT3 will be enough for us to add to our weekend series - maybe we can schedule a few multi-class exhibition races to try this out?

Scary thing is current GT3 cars the about the same pace as the old GT1 cars.
Just a quick look up to confirm my suspicion,
2014 1000 km of Nurburgrin GT3 winner fastest lap 1:58.3
2010 FIA GT1 world Championship winner fastest lap 1:58.4
granted different weather conditions but I would bet the the GT1 cars and GT3 cars are a lot closer then you would think.
Now in iRacing it looks like the Corvette is about 3-4 seconds faster then the GT3 cars, looking at the world records for at Spa in 2014.
