Thanks for the vid. Looks like you struggled a bit in that race. Maybe you'll have a better time in the race tonight (Americas).

Thanks for the vid. Looks like you struggled a bit in that race. Maybe you'll have a better time in the race tonight (Americas). I did better on the whole. I hit a couple of high 1:38s and my average lap time dropped from a 1:42.2 to a 1:41.3. I'm feeling a lot more confident on track but getting into the second split was a waste of my time--I was completely outclassed being with those guys. I need to tank my iRating so I can run in the 3rd split with guys more on my level.

Lost some irating myself tonight. Started 4th, made it 9 laps before I threw in the towel. Again, my mistakes breed more mistakes.

Wow. Tim got very quiet for a bit there. I think he took it much worse than I did. I pretty much laughed my way through that one, I suspect that the available quick repair had a bit to do with it. I debated just racing on as the damage wasn't bad, but found out in the following strait that the car wandered pretty bad. Also, I didn't realize how far I pushed you out on the entrance to T5, sorry about that. Edit: Just finished watching. Pretty good race. I think you're right, we're pretty close in speed. I would have caught you, but for every mistake you made, I managed to match it with a mistake of my own. I sure did get quiet, I hate hitting other drivers, i get very disappointed with myself, I'd rather run a clean race and finish last then ruin someone's fun.

This video is short because I just wanted to show up to lap 7 and then the last 3 laps of the race when it started to get interesting with Jason. The rest was just me running around the track (rather slowly I might add) by myself.

I watched your video from Thursday's Suzuka race. It was pretty obvious you were better under braking and held better mid corner speed on quite a few corners. Some corners (like the 90 before the hairpin) I was taking a later apex to get a good run out, though at the cost of lower entrance speed. Not for sure on Dunlop corner. I was holding the corner a bit tighter and was able to get on it pretty well in the first part before shifting up.

I told myself during the race that this week's race wouldn't see the light of day. However, after watching the first two laps I couldn't help but be amused by something I said on lap two and the wreck that comes at the end of the same lap. It was very much a "famous last words" kind of moment.

I love the way you hit the right wall, then the left wall, spin round, stop and........fall over.

LOL, good luck with that cleanest driver goal. It is a good goal though. I have noticed the less incidents I have, the better I usually finish. It's not that hard really, just race the track and don't worry about the other drivers.

Hehehe. When I came around you were already on your side. Didn't realize that it wasn't that big of a crash.

I forgot to include the best part. The wall clearly wanted a hug and sucked me in!

It's not that hard really, just race the track and don't worry about the other drivers. I was a lot cleaner (in terms of off tracks) last season because I was so worried about just staying on track and controlling the car. Now that I feel a lot more comfortable I've started to be a bit more competetive, so I'm going off more. I think next season I'll find that happy medium and resign myself to mid-pack status.
