Have you guys thought about getting someone to broadcast the races? I believe RacespotTV charges money and they'll already very busy, but I see these guys globalsimracingchannel.com/ and they don't seem to charge, but I could be wrong. EDIT: I found in the tiny super-fine print that they do charge. So disregard them. But still, the idea stands.

It was one of the things that we talked about at the end of last season. I know it's on the minds of the League Admins for sure, but finding somebody who is willing to broadcast seems to be the hard part.

We had an incredible crew broadcast a season or two of the GV8, but they got grabbed up by one of the money broadcasters. I don't think any of us were surprised when it happened. It has been a while since I looked, Ed just did a search recently, but I believe that globalsimracingchannel.com is one of the cheaper broadcasters.

I thought that maybe GripTV might be an option since they partnered with Curtis Chippeway.
Should we start a broadcast fund?

What's the significance of Curtis being with them? Also, not sure they do broadcasts.

Curtis is one of the top split V8SC guys. So it could be an open door to get one of the GripTV guys to want to broadcast a V8SC league race.

They always been driving around with him, but he was gone for 2 months or so. I've asked in the stream today, but best is for League admins to do it officially, to see if they want to.

I had an idea a while back about this. Basically, the idea is to have a team fee, which would be put toward broadcasting races. Obviously, drivers could drive as independents free of charge (or donate if they wish). This allows us to raise funds without alienating anyone who may not be able to afford, or want to pay, money to race. If we had a $20 charge per team (remember, two drivers per team) we would have raised $160 for the GV8 this very season, which would have given us approximately three, maybe four, broadcasts. It would be up to the team leader to collect any money (or foot the bill), which gives us fewer moving parts in the payment process. It is easier to deal with 10 team leaders than 20 drivers.
Broadcasts, by far, are the biggest factor in recruiting (although I am starting to think the viewer is drowning in choice), and it wouldn't be out of line to assume that the league would expand. Obviously, more members means more possible teams (and more money for broadcasts), but even if it only draws independent drivers, it still swells the ranks, and makes the league even more appealing.
Of course, money always brings other things. Who holds the money? When is it due? Shorter fuses. Entitlement- I paid for this! Not that I think anyone here is a crook, but I have seen things get ugly over dumber things. Money, in general, makes hobbies more intense.
Just some ideas I thought I would lob out there.

I would contribute to streams. My father thinks they're neat to watch.

I would definitely put a few $$ into at least one broadcast to judge interest. I think V8s are getting more and more popular.
