Well, we put our names in the hat for the Long Beach apartment. It is tiny, but it is fourth floor, looks out toward the ocean (at about tree-top level, so a bit obscured) and it is possible to look straight up the front straight of the track, although you can't see the hairpin, itself. When I mentioned the racing in the area, the agent was quick to point out that it wasn't all the time. Apparently, it is one of the things that make the area unattractive to people. Now, we wait. It would be soooooooo cool. And tiny, but cool.

Congrats Joe, maybe you can figure out how to get a camera angle in iracing from your apt and watch tonight's race from that view.

That is a cracking good idea. I might just have to go set that up now.

Well guys, don't book your flights yet, we didn't get it. Bummer, but we will keep on trying. Ocean or bust! And quite frankly I love them both! <-- bad Groucho impersonation

Sorry to hear that. I imagine there are a few other places that you guys are looking at around downtown Long Beach?
