I got on and started doing laps in it just for the memories, and it seemed much improved. Downshifting doesn't seem to be as big a deal. It all seems fairly smooth now.
Tracks that would provide great saloon car racing... 1. Oulton Fosters 2. Brand Hatch Indy 3. Lime Rock Full 4. Barber Short A 5. Sebring Club (Night) 6. NJMP Thunderbolt (no chicanes)
Decent racing... 1. Oran Park Full 2. Zandvoort Club 3. Okayama Short 4. Sonoma Cup 5. Laguna Seca Full
Terrible racing (that I raced on)... 1. COTA National (I think, it is the longer of the two short ones) 2. Silverstone National 3. Montego West 4. Suzuka East

Well I did run few laps two or three weeks ago with the Jetta and the Soltice for the fun of it. The last time I drove them was in the begging of the league and boy that was fun closed racing. Unfortunately, I didn't notice much difference but that might be just me driving other heavy cars for so long. but I would like to run fun races once in a while with those or once per season V8 and USC field drivers

ever day to and from work....
Oh that Jetta, no, I haven't. But I did take it for spin around Watkins and thought it was pretty fun several seasons ago.

Mario, to me it felt like they may have adjusted the gear ratio just a little bit. The car still handles like a Jetta, but the gearing felt better to me. Anyway, it was a lot of fun racing those cars. I am going to have to dig up some of those old youtube videos of the GTCC and the cheesy commentary by yours truly. My Jetta still has the Marriott paint on it.
