Now that I've got your attention ... We have had a few recent posts asking us to reconsider next season's car ("Season 2 Preview": grasim.freeforums.net/thread/160/season-2-preview?page=3) I wanted to give everyone a fair opportunity to give their opinion over the direction of the league for season 2. The Fine Print: The survey is open through Friday; voters can only select one option, however, you can change your vote anytime until the survey closes. We'll announce the results just before our final race at Road Atlanta this Saturday (3/7). Please also feel free to voice your opinion below (e.g. "DP's are faster!", "GT3 is more popular!", etc...) -- there are a few of us that are open to either option and are open to hearing the argument for/against the options. Thanks and see you Saturday!

If I like the group I am racing with I am fine with either choice so I am good either way.....

As long as I can feel confident and competitive, I am fine with any car. Right now I don't feel at all competitive in the DP, so I choose the GT3s since I can find plenty of current setups for them.

Can we add another class? so we can have multi class racing. Something like the Mustang or the RUF Cup.
But I vote GT3

+1 on just adding GT3. I'm not racing the DP because I don't want to be a roadblock for everyone.

There's no harm trying it during our 2 exhibition events before round #1 - if nothing else we can add a second class and see who shows up. My sense is though that the result will be similar to our last exhibition in December (featuring the HPD and GT3). We had something like 2 HPDs and 15+ GT3 cars. Thanks for the feedback thus far gents, even if this is just a "sampling" of our drivers, it's already pretty overwhelming on behalf of the GT3.

^ Well, that said, would there be enough DP drivers to want to include GT3, or are the majority of DP drivers going to want to change to GT3?

Hi George - it's going to have to be either the DP or the GT3. Based on what we've learned about lap times in the DP, you can't pair it up with the GT3 because they're too close in lap times (but not close enough to be in the same class).
As Greg noted in his post, there are only a few cars that fit well with the GT3 cars: HPD, RuF Cup, and the Mustang. Anything in between (like the DP and Cadillac) will be problematic.

For me personally I am done with the DP. I wanted to give it a try and I am glad I did, but I am ready to move on.
We did the GT3 series here before and it worked well. But I think we over complicated it with trying to do a Pro/Am format. There were guys that were pretty quick and were in AM and it lead to some confusion for the first couple of races as to how they ended up there and I am sure it was a turn off for some.

Doesn't matter either way for me, but I voted GT3. Just looking to lose the bad luck and have some great battles. I was hoping the Aston Martins would be released by then but I guess they are at least another build away. Has anyone considered the KIA as a second class?

I was and I'm still a fan of the DP but I choose to go with the GT3 for next season but I`m not so sure about muti-class. If going forward with the GT3, this will already allow much cars to choose from for everyone compared to this first season which was a lot of fun by the way. Adding another class for this new season is too early in my own opinion but if this happens, I will still race the Ford GT3 either way

I have talked to Kevin Bobbit personally and he says that Honda wont allow performance data to be released, so on that note we will not be getting any Honda's most likely.

Quote from Steve Myers that I found on the iRacing forum Disappointing to say the least. Guess it will be the fabled white unicorn of iRacing.
