I see that some of you guys are flight sim guys, which is so cool. It has been a long time since my take-off from Midway, in Chicago. Anyway, have any of you ever thought of doing any of the flight thing in ARMA 3? I could really use a helicopter pilot, or even some Warthog support. Apparently, there are guys that even have the foot pedals for the choppers and everything.
They have aircraft carriers now, and Midway, and even Sopwith Camels. I think I have seen a P-51 and I know I have seen a wide array of MIG's and role aircraft, like the Frogfoot. Eagles, Falcons, and Hornets. They have Hueys and Blackhawks and Hinds.
I don't know if this would be interesting to you flight guys or not, but if it is, let me know.

When Star Citizen starts to become more of a reality then I will invest in a nice HOTAS setup, but for now I stick to 4 wheels

There was a guy that I used to watch who did ARMA 2 stuff, I think his YouTube handle was Kilroy or something like that. Anyways, I used to play a lot flight games a number of years ago and I have since wanted to see if I could hold my own in a environment like ARMA 3. I own the game but I don't have it installed at the moment. This might push me over the edge to install it and try it out once I find a bit more free time in my schedule.

Cool! There is someone who flies for ShackTac, and he put out a series on helicopter landing technique (I will look for the videos). It covered approach speed and elevations for hot landings and all kinds of good stuff. He is in full flight, then he is landing in an alley, then he is gone, all before you could run to the window to see what was happening. The precision is crazy. Anyway, I hope you do swing out and give it a shot!

We have started to get some people joining in on Steam (although the forums remain a ghost town.... grr), but if anyone here is interested in joining, it will be kicking off in about a week or so. So far, we are about a squad strong.
