I'm thinking of a 4 position system thats why i was leaning to the dayton pucks, simple economics

Right. When Shawn Cole was still doing ISR, he had the 4 position setup with 4 gamer 2 kits.

going to ask the dumb question, but what does this do? Just vibrate your seat?

Simulates the vibration coming from a car. I have 4 connected to my rig, one each in the position of each wheel. You can feel when the wheels are slipping, or bumps in the road. You can set the engine vibe to be at the front or back, gear change thump, there are loads of different vibrations that can be switched on or off. Now that I am used to driving with it if I forget to turn it on it makes as much difference to the game as turning the force feedback off on the steering wheel.

apparently you can tell when the front or rear is losing grip or wheelspin or lockup i have driven farooqs rig briefly with gs 4 seat and simvibe, i tell you it was sensory overload and i am really considering doing it but,big but, i can do the dayton pucks for $70 for 4 plus amp and sound card, it looks like the buttkicker unit is way way more expensive, so i want to know if its worthwhile to spend all that money if the pucks will do the job

i would think that the pucks would do just fine if u have the area to mount them to

Hi guys - sorry to revive a slightly old thread - I only just noticed you were chatting about this.
Out of curiosity, what seats/rigs do you have to mount your buttkickers (or alternate) to?? I'm hoping to revamp my setup in the next 10-12 months and the adding some vibration to it is something I just started considering.
Thanks!

I have an ozone and have decided that the dayton pucks won't do the job, looking for some aura bass shakers now

I have the rseat Evo 3 and added metal to mount buttkickers to it. I started out with 1x gamer 2 then added a second, then 2x LFEs to get the 4 wheel effect. In hindsight it could have been done a lot cheaper.

Great info, and this even more motivates me to replace my office chair! Hey Pete, that looks like a Logitech THX base on the left of your rig there?
