I was kind of curious to see what other series you guys all run in. Last season I decided to focused solely on the V8SC with maybe two races in GT3, and this season I'm looking at trying to get back into IndyCar Oval while running V8SC on the Road side.

I tried dabbling in the MX5 cup. Unfortunately that threw off my V8SC driving, so I'm focusing on V8s this season.

I run a lot of GT3 races. I enjoy those cars.

i have tried running more then 1 series a number of times, this season its V8s only, this is a tough car to master and i want to be able to compete in top split americas so i have to really apply myself this season. its very difficult to be consistently good in 2 series at once ( for me anyways)
series i have done cadilac/Kia Cadilac /l49 radical/ porsche cup gt3/l79 l79/V8

I tried dabbling in the MX5 cup. Unfortunately that threw off my V8SC driving, so I'm focusing on V8s this season. I totally understand that. That's why I have stayed away from driving other road cars now. I was talking to Ryan Shelton about this same topic and he says that all his experience running in the V8SC has thrown off his driving of other cars. So he said he feels slow in say GT3 car because his braking points are all far too early. I told him that I was the complete opposite. For me driving the V8SC has made me a better GT3 driver because they are so easy to drive by comparison to the V8SC.

It would be awesome to get into the top split but that means I would have to get my iRating up nearly 1000 points. Racing the V8SC has tanked my Road iRating because I can't finish strong right now since I'm still so new to the series. I also don't agree with grinding for iRating by racing a ton of Mazda Cup races either. That seems like a cheap way of getting your iRating up.

Correct. As with all things in life, good results take time and effort.

I know how you feel. Last season was my first in the V8, and with the exception of the last week (2nd and 3rd in the Americas races) I rarely pulled down top 10 in the lower splits. However, it was a good reminder that staying out of trouble is required to finish well.

I always make sure I race enough to get the season credits.
For the oval side, I almost exclusively race the IndyCars. Mostly fixed, but I was on one of the big teams and racing open for a while also. I have won a lot of races in that series and was even in the top 5 overall for the fixed series. I also won the overall IndyCar fixed time trial championship in 2014 season 1. My iRating was up over 4000 for a while and I probably could have gone farther, but then I got burnt out on the series.
When the RUF first came out, I really liked it and ran a bunch of races in the GT3 series. 2014 Season 1 I ran 92 races. Had my road iRating up over 3500. But I also got burnt out there especially since there are a lot of overly aggressive drivers in that series.
I have always liked the Mazda MX5 car and used to run some rookie races just for fun. I'm glad it has an advance series now with more tracks and open setups. It is a great car for learning a new track since you aren't going too fast. The series has some good regulars and the races are usually fairly clean.
Now I don't take any series too seriously. I have every car and track in the game and like to get use out of a lot of them. Last season I ran the Advanced MX5 series, V8SC series, and IndyCar road series. I also did a few races in other series. This season I plan to do the same.

Except for a couple Americas V8 races, I've not raced an official series race since joining Grasim, although I really want to run the L79 again. To me that is the only thing more satisfying than the V8. I love the manual shifting as well. It's just good busy fun.
Except for the Saturday practice races lately I've been running a fixed setup Truck oval series (http://www.redlightleague.com/) good bunch of guys, but I really suck. Three races into the season and I'm nearly last in points with three straight last place (or there about) finishes. I don't really want to run it anymore, but I refuse to give up yet!!
