Except for a couple Americas V8 races, I've not raced an official series race since joining Grasim, although I really want to run the L79 again. To me that is the only thing more satisfying than the V8. I love the manual shifting as well. It's just good busy fun. Except for the Saturday practice races lately I've been running a fixed setup Truck oval series (http://www.redlightleague.com/) good bunch of guys, but I really suck. Three races into the season and I'm nearly last in points with three straight last place (or there about) finishes. I don't really want to run it anymore, but I refuse to give up yet!! hey glenn if u need any help with driving the truck, let me know. Im running the official fixed truck thus season

Come on there must be a win coming my way soon, I race in the mazda cup series to keep building my MPR up and I have now gotten 12 3rd placings and 1 2nd placing, could someone help me get a good set up to get promoted to race in the V8s. I at the moment the MPR has been going from 2.51- 2.76 and going in and around, I have to get to 4.00 in rookie to move up to class D before the promotions or move to 3.00 before march

I think its your SR that needs to be 4 right away or 3 in March, run clean races, no incidents and you will be fine. You can also time trial yourself to successful lots of clean laps

You don't even need to race. MPR is your Minimum Participation Requirement. It only requires 4 races or time trials to meet the requirement. After that it is all about SR (Safety Rating). The best way to get your SR up is to run races with no incidents. I know most everyone is competitive and likes to race, but you can do that later when you get the license level you want. The best way to have a clean race is to start from the pits and stay at least 5 seconds behind the last place car. Only pass someone when they run off the track and crash. I know it is boring, but it is the fastest way to get promoted.

depends on how many incidents you have, the finishing or starting position makes no difference.
You are responsible for what happens to you, you make choices to be in the position you are. I learned this the hard way and i struggled to get out of rookie trying to win races instead of improving my racecraft.

i just saw that, in the last 4 races you gained SR in each one by reducing your incidents, small steps will make big gains

I don't run too many official races anymore, almost everything I run is hosted. I love the Dallara (both versions), on road courses and even some ovals. There's a group of us that used to run them at Daytona or Talladega just about every night. Some very exciting high speed battles! We usually end up doing something a little different, like the Daytona Prototypes on ovals and also GT3's on ovals, strangely these can be quite fun. I always look for an F1 or Star Mazda race to jump into also. If you see a hosted race by 420 racing that looks interesting, stop on in. If I'm there, PM me and I'll hook you up with a setup if I've got a good one.
