That was a fun race! I had a great start and was able to get ahead of Nigel after T2. I knew that there was no way I could hold the lead for long but I tried my best to hold the spot. I had the break bias too far forward and I couldn't get the turn in I wanted. I went wide and opened the door for Nigel and Jim to go by as a result. After the bridge I got to the inside of Jim but he must have been watching too much hockey as I got a hip check that pushed me off track . Luckily the way the car was pointed all I had to do was to keep it straight and I would come back on track. But I got hit with a slow down penalty. After that I just turned laps and tried to keep it on the track. I caught Tony and Troy with about 5 laps left and they where pretty close so I backed off to let them race. Finished 2nd which after the practice was way better then I thought I would do.

Fun race tonight! I wasn't too thrilled about getting tagged by a spun car early in the race, but if it didn't happen then I wouldn't have had a good battle with Troy Eddy for 7th at the end of the race. Good run, Troy! Yes that was a great battle Tony. I think I was a little faster than you, but not fast enough to force a pass. I just wanted to keep the pressure on and stay close in case you gave me an opening. Then when I finally did get by after your slight bobble on the last corner, I really had to concentrate and keep it on the track to hold the position. We have had a few close battles before and it is always good to race with you. I still don't like this track. I was completely worn out after that race. Never a chance to relax, not even on the one straight because it is so short. I just added up my shifting and figured out I was shifting 20 times per lap for 52 laps which is 1040 shifts for the race. That is an average of one shift every 3.5 seconds for an hour. No wonder my hands were sore. My legs and feet were sore also. All that constant on the gas, on the brakes. And there were only a few places on the entire track where I could completely floor the throttle. I'm glad I have some good pedals because they are really needed with this car especially on these short tracks. I believe Summit Point is going to be a workout with these cars also. I haven't driven this car there yet, so I'm not completely sure. I think the only cars I have driven there are the MX5 and Cadillac. I know the track well, but it will still be a challenge in this car. At least week 3 we finally get a little break with Road America. Now that is a great beer drinking track. There are 3 good straights where you can get a drink. I can finish a beer in 4 or 5 laps there.

I will try to have the site updated later this afternoon.
Pete, would it be possible to cut all of the pre-race off of the video before you upload? That would knock the size of the file down to about half the size.

I don't know what F screen it is, but brake bias can be adjusted from in the car while driving.

We have had a few close battles before and it is always good to race with you. Needless to say that I wasn't happy when the car got a little loose on me coming out of that last corner. I could tell that you had a bit faster of a pace than me but I was hoping that if I could keep within a few tenths then I could force you to either pick a dangerous pass or, what I was actually hoping for, you would play it safe. I just needed to have been able to hang on for a few more minutes! But you're right that track is a workout. I had thought about running with the Australians around 12 to 1 am and I said to myself, "nope."

Ya Troy I know that, but it didn't dawn on me to check what I had it set to till after I lost the lead . I must have set it for qualifying and never turned back. I adjust brake bias and sway bars during the race.

Good clean race! I'm happy with a relatively clean run to 9th. Especially considering my first laps of the track were the middle of qualifying lol.

Had a blast, even running 4 laps down staying out of everyone's way!! Unfortunately my sciatica flared up and left leg started going numb so I just parked it. Looking forward to a better run at Summit Point, see ya all there.

I thought I was clear of you and didn't realize you were still there until we bumped. About 1/2 second before we bumped I heard the spotter call 3 wide... My initial thought was "This won't end well but trying to bail out is going to make it worse".

I'd like post something less nice. I keep a naughty list of people who are running down a lap and are significantly down on pace, but choose not to let people by lap after lap. It's certainly legal, but don't expect favors from me in future races when I'm either limping home with damage or you've picked up pace and I'm just a lap down and you have someone on your ass for position.

Daniel we can always review those incidents through the review panel, give us the details in a PM and we can review and sanction if necessary. Or........ You can send a polite pm to those involved, express your concerns and see if it can be resolved that way, that way its not on your mind and you can focus on the guy ahead of you and enjoy your race.

A lot of new faces and one of the tighter tracks probably didn't help make things any easier, but I thought you guys put on one hell of a show! A tremendous amount of lead changes and a lot of clean battles. The track is tight, but for the most part, isn't race-ending if you leave the tarmac. I think that was one of the more entertaining races the GV8 has had yet!
I wanted to put a highlight reel together for the race, but where do you even start? What gets cut? It would be like a 45 minute highlight reel!

Not able to race this week due to work. OTOH not sure how well it would've gone, I have hard time stringing 5 clean laps together on this track. Much less being reasonably quick.
